Copy 'Em (Clipboard Manager) App Reviews

Best single purpose clipboard manage

I’ve recently tried all clipboard manager out there. This one is the most solid I’ve found so far. The design is a bit of a letdown, but functionality is all there.

I Love This App: premier multi-clipboard utility

The best multiple clipboard app around. For many, many years I used PTH Pasteboard but sadly that app is not compatible with OS X Yosemite or beyond. I investigated many, many clipboard apps now available for the Mac. Copyem Paste is the most like PTH Pasteboard, its one of the more powerful ones on the market, and the developer is continuing to support and develop the app. Take a serious look at this app.

One of my OSX essentials

It is just so great to have this dependable app doing its thing remembering stuff I copy while residing quietly in the menu bar. When I need to paste that item, there it is. If I need it permanently, I mark it with a star to hold it or move it to a specific list I’ve created. Has been working perfectly with OSX El Capitan. More powerful than I need, but is very easy to use.

Great app

It does everything it says it will. That’s all you can ask

The Best Clipboard App and a Dedicated Developer

I won’t bore you by repeating all the previous praise for this app. But I will add that the app is supported by a dedicated and competent developer. Mr. Chang spent a lot of time and many emails helping to solve my system-specific issues. So glad he stuck it out with me because this app is indispensible to my work. Thanks, Hoi!

Best clipboarrd manager ever!

I love Copyem Paste! I’ve looked at many clipboard managers. Before I discovered Copyem Paste, I used iClipboard, and it was 3 times the price of Copyem Paste. Copyem Paste is a lot better than iClipboard. Before iClipboard, I used PTHPasteboard Pro that was also nearly 3 times the price of Copyem Paste, but PTHPasteboard stopped working on OS X 10.9. Im not trying to slam iClipboard or PTHPasteboard, Im saying I needed multiple Lists of clips, and while not many clipboard managers offered Lists, PTHPasteboard Pro and iClipboard did, but Copyem Paste handles the Lists, and everything else much better. Not only is Copyem Paste easy to learn, more importantly, it works great! It lets you create many Lists of clips, and it takes only one keystroke to change the list. It lets you put all clips in one list, or you can use Shift-Cmd-C to automatically add a clip to a specific list. You can right click on a clip, and you can move it to another list, edit the clip, paste it as plain text, delete it, and much more. When you see a list, Copyem Paste lets you type a number/letter to automatically paste the clip, or you can just click on the clip. It lets you search for old clips by text, or you can select specific apps and/or types of clips, like text, graphics, links, or files and folders. It also lets you customize how Copyem Paste works. It shows hints when you hover your mouse over an icon, and it shows which keyboard shortcut that activates that option. You can also change most Copyem Paste keyboard shortcuts. You can change how the Copyem Paste window looks like, or where it shows up when you hit Shift-Cmd-V. You can make the window permanent with just a keystroke, or it can go away after you select your clip. It lets you pick to use formatted text, or plain text. Again, I cant say enough about how Copyem Paste works better than any other clipboard manager. I think you can try Copyem Paste as a demo, but if you do, you will buy it right away when you realize how great it is! There’s a reason that 85% of the Copyem Paste reviews gave it the top score of 5 stars. If you use use clips, you need Copyem Paste!

History … repeats itself!

So, what’s “History” got to do with it? EVERYTHING! Love the fact that I’m able to copy text, images, paragraphs, name it — and recall for pasting at anytime thereafter. Days later. Months later. Years later! Can’t beat that with a stick! Rated 5 stars! VM

Issue with copying large amounts of data

When copying large amounts of data while using Excel for Mac 2015 the app is slowing down the whole process and getting hung in most of the cases. I really love this app and wish to continue using it. Please do the needful to fix this issue.

Essential App to Increase Productivity

One of my KEY essential apps on the mac. Multiple USABLE features that will instantly make you more productive while researching and going beyond the standard clipboard. Superb support and active development. Buy this app…you will not regret it.

A necessity

The days of one clipboard, one copy, one paste are long over. Anything beyond simple notes demands it. The trick is getting it right. This app does a very good job. I can’t imagine being without it. It does texts, graphics. I love how it allows you to choose and mark ‘favorites’ that will be use frequently. Yosemite 10.10.3 - works well. Have not updates to ElCapitan or newer version of Opey’emPate yet.

High Quality, Intuitive Design, Can only go up from here

As most apps do not appeal to me, to solicit my time for a review, I don’t comment much unless the app is really good, really bad, or is really the sign of promise for a lot more potential. When I was using Windows (outside of Parallels), I loved a program called AceText by JGSoft. It left a void not being able to find a sufficient clipboard manager, on Mac, which could hold all my clips and allow me to go back and reference something I needed to reuse or recall. I’ve tried other clipboard managers, but they were greatly lacking in various areas and left me searching for more. In addition to very basic features, the main thing is they seemed not to allow me to hold enough clips. With Copy’Em Paste, you have options. Especially if you need to recall a lot of things as a student, developer, designer, or researcher. Look, you can set how many clips you want it to remember at a time before it starts purging the oldest clips unstarred clips. The number you can set appears to be very, very high. You can also set the app to delete unstarred clip when the app quits, or, set the app to star automatically everything that is copied to the clipboard, so there is no threshold applied, and items are never automatically purged. I thought I’d want to use that option, but once I used the program, I found that I liked manually starring only what I wanted to keep, and allowing only the newest 500 to stay in memory/saved at a time providing plenty of back reference. If you have your threshold set with a high enough number, you can go back and star clips you want to keep, later on. If you do not want to wait for an automatic purge, there is a button to clear all the clips in the list that are currently visible, and another to clear all clips that are not starred. The app is not limited to plain text, but rich text and images are also among what is stored. You can categorize all your clips and edit clipped text so when you paste it, it says what you’d like it to. Clicking on a clip makes it paste into the currently open program and re-copy to the clipboard, but you can also right click a clip and simply just write it to the clipboard so it does not automatically paste. It’s got a little transform menu that allows you to transform the pasted text using some presets, such as Make Upper Case, Make Lower Case, Capitalize, Strip White Spaces, and Trim Surrounded White Spaces, Append text and Prepend Text. I enjoy that feature a lot. My critique on that feature is, the author should update the transform list to include custom REGULAR EXPRESSIONS as saved presets, so the user can apply a regular expression to pasted text. Developers would love a feature like that, and it would be likely to generate a lot of praise and attention to the app. Also, consider possibly adding the inclusion of tokens, such as auto-numbering tokens (%n%) that can be included to append/prepend/regex text that can be set to start and increment at any number and count up or down, and time/date stamp tokens. Also, the ability to combine selected clips with users choice of delimiter would also be great. I know I create functions and array’s, so that would help a developer. Other features already included with this great app, is you can filter clips by the category-star you saved the clip in, including All, My Shortcuts, and Unstarred filters. You can filter by all, text, images, links, files/folders. You can also filter by what app you copied the clip from. You can use those filter sets at together because they are separate filter menu. The app lives in the Menu Bar (you can turn it off in settings). When you click the app in the menu bar, there is a little pin you can click to pin the app on the screen, so it does not automatically close when you click away or click on a clip (which inserts the clicked test). That is great if you have a bunch of clips that you want to paste, by clicking in a succession. So while there are features that one can long for like Christmas, this is a well-rounded app, as is. If you need to refer to paste items often, its a must have. If you don’t have it but thinking about it, I would go for it while it is on sale, and also while cheap.

Essential App - Feature Request in this Review

I use this app all day long - it’s part of my workflow. Feature request: I wish there was an easy way to assign a custom shortcut to paste each individal clipping. I went through the tutorial a couple of times but couldn’t find it.

Great addition for managing copy/clips

I’ve been looking for an app to really manage cut/copy clipboard for OS X. After doing some research I came across Copy ‘em Paste and I would say I’m pretty happy with it. It does a good job of handling texts, fonts, and quickly moving between captures. I really like the additional feature of click/paste with the additional app download. I’ve tried a couple of simpler apps and for the price and options I would recommend to others. The only thing I wish worked a little better was the placement of list when docking to a ThunderBolt Display. It tends to appear in a different location when docked/undocked.

Amazingly Functional and Full-featured

Love this app: it has all the features I wanted from a clipboard manager and some I didn’t know I wanted. Also has a great interface and customization options.

Great app

Does what it says it does—lets you copy lots of stuff to the clipboard and pull it down when you want it. The only downside is that it doesn’t work perfectly with the latest version of Word, so you have to turn on the plain-text mode if you’re using Word, which means you need to remember to turn off plain-text mode if you don’t want to use it in other apps.

The best clipboard manager I have every used

Thank you for this great application. I use it all day, nearly everyday. I especially like all the customization features, search bar, rich text and picture support, and sorting of clippings. I use it on my Mac OS and Windows 10 VR through Parallels. There are no issues I’ve encountered on the Mac OS. The only issue is on the Windows VR, in which the some older clipping only paste correctly after the second try but this is likely a Parallels algorithm update issue, which I’m trying to resolve with the Parallels support team. Bottom line is, I highly recommend this application for anyone needing to access and manage previously copied text and pictures.

Delivers

I didn’t want to switch from my old free app, but this one is complete. The workflow has clearly been thought out. Works without fail. Just buy it. It saved me time.

Currently my go-to clipboard manager

Great replacement after PTH Pasteboard met an untimely death. Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of a couple more expensive clipboard managers but it does everything I need…and does it well. Just as importantly, the developer stays on top of the changes Apple makes to the OS and keeps Copy’em Paste updated.

Works like a charm!

I have been using this app for quite awhile and I really like it. I have several things that I copy and paste that have a checklist and this app copies it just fine.

Truly the best clipboard manager by far

I have tried nearly every clipboard manager on the market, both for Windows and Macs. This one is by far the best clipboard manager I’ve used. It successfully combines features for advanced power users with the simplicity and ease of use for the average user. It is fast with a small footprint. The only thing on my wish list at this point would be synchronization capabiility via iCloud.
