Copy 'Em (Clipboard Manager) App Reviews

Better than Paste!

I love the app. After using Paste for about a year, I was frustrated with the user interface and the speed of accessibility. The feature I yearned for the most was to easily be able to choose a previous item from my clip board via pressing a keyboard number (ie: 1, 2, 3, 4) etc. This did it!

Does what it says

Great app! I was in the middle of a project that was wearing me down with a lot of repetitive entries that were cumbersome. I downloaded the app midway through the project and I swear it saved me a couple of hours of work in teh middle of the night. Easy to use, worked like a charm.

Exaclty What I Was Looking For

I’m a web developer and I’ve tried just about every clipboard manager in the app store. This surpassed my expectations and I hope they will continue to develop it.

EXTREMELY USEFUL

It takes awhile to catch the usefulness of Copy’en Paste but now I can’t work without it. ……A request: give users the option of naming certain saved choices. Sometimes I have several series of #’s to paste in, and over time I can’t remember what they represent. Thanks…..

I Can’t Believe that Apple Hasn’t Bought This App

It is flabbergasting that this functionality is not part of OS X. Score one point for Microsoft. I’d be hard-pressed to give up this app. When I had a minor glitch using it with Word (MS just lost the point I just gave them), I realized just how much I rely on this app. I wrote for support and Hoi responded with a work-around immediately and then he followed with news of a possible fix. Everyone needs this app.

Great application but that ugly menu bar icon… ugh!

I have been a long-time user of another paid clipboard management app but it started freezing on ocassion after updating to OS X 10.11.3 — especially when trying to resize the clipboards. After trying to find an update for that app without success, I decided to try Copy’em Paste based on all of the great reviews, and I’m glad I did. It is easy to use, and full of features that I may or may not use, but most importantly I’m once again enjoying great clipboard management with stability! I have two items on my wish-list for this product: 1) Create an icon that I can “easily find” in the top menu bar among the multitudes. I find the existing icon to be boring and hard to find, which really reduces the ease of use and speed of use unless I use keyboard shortcuts which is not the way I personally like to work. 2) Have cut and paste sound effects as an option for reassurance that I actually copied (or pasted) what I intended to when doing multiple rapid copying and pasting.

I’ve Been Through Them All, & This is the Best

I’ve used dozens of alternate clipboard apps over the past 20 years or so, & this is my favorite. Before I found Copy’em Paste, I was using PasteMaster & iClip, my two prior favorites. I like Copy’em Paste even better than those two, because of the easy visibility & readability of the clips, the ease of creating a “favorite clips” section, & the ability to paste from the keyboard with a single keystroke from 0-9 & a-z. iClip allows single-key pasting from 0-9 in it’s most readable mode, & 0-9, & a-b in “tiny” frame mode (too small for me to see). In terms of visual appeal, Copy’em Paste is not nearly as “pretty” as iClip, but more attractive than PasteMaster. For graphics, I think iClip is the best of the three. I’ve never needed “Customer Service” for Copy’em Paste, so I can’t speak on that; iClip’s Developer is very helpful; PasteMaster’s developer is, shall I say, “less than cordial” in my last encounter. Overall, Copy’em Paste is the one I use all day long, every day.

This is the clip manager to own. great app and great support.

Absolutely the best clipboard manager there is. An essential part of my iMac software arsenal. Great support as well. After many months of use, my database became corrupted and Hoi Chang the developer walked me through the debug and the solution. Responded to my emails within the hour, so I was without CeP for a little less than 4 hours. He was even willing to go through my files with me to help me salvage the old database. Great app and great support

Nice clipboard manager, but ...

The only drawback to this app is that when I used Microsoft Word I could not paste text with formatting. This was a bit frustrating when copying MS Word tables with formatting, but only to have the pasted version turnout as tab-delimited text. Otherwise this app is great. I had to stop using it since I do a lot of writing and editing.

Great utility

Works beautifully and unobtrusively. Excellent program, highly recommended

Full featured, best I’ve found

I switched from PC to Mac and had been a loyal user of Ditto for many years. The very first thing I needed to do on my Mac was find a clipboard manager, any serious computer power user MUST have a clipboard manager, and it must support a library of clippings (frequent URLs that need to be emailed, html code snippets, etc) I read some reviews and tried a few different freebies. Ditto being free had zero barrier to entry, and I didn’t want to spend anything until I was sure I’d be happy with it. The freebies in general were weak, so I knew I’d have to get a paid product. The reviews all seemed to point to Copy’em Paste so I splurged, it was a good choice. Strengths: * With the helper app, it’s single click to paste into any app on the Mac, this is a must have * Great storage system for my clippings, very easy to use the dropdown to quickly search only a specific folder of clips * Very quick search, auto-focus on the search box when opening the app * Can search by clippings from a particular app, or of a particluar type * Pause feature is great if you are copying/pasting stuff you don’t want in the history Wish list: * Can’t easily save screen shots, they are only written to the copy buffer * The “area” screen cap feature is great, however the Copy’em Paste dropdown gets in the way, it should hide itself when in area screen cap mode * Would be awesome if the screen cap had simple annotation features like Monosnap * I wish the transform options were available as a context click on the clip, instead of as a global setting

I still miss PTHPasteboard, but this is great

I don’t have the slide out “favorites” view, and can’t figure out how to get a ‘starred’ list to do the same here, BUT This pasteboard manager Works Great, and I’m very happy I bought it. Thank you Joe Kissell for the recommendation!!

Great Clipboard but missing iCloud Syncing

This really is a great, full featured clipboard application. It can sit in your menu bar and do just about everything you could ever want a clipboard to do. The one really noticable missing feature is that it doesn’t have a way to sync across computers or devices. So if I save something on my iMac, I can’t open up my Macbook Air and have the clipboard app on the Air all synced up. Some way to have the app sync across computers/devices would be a very welcome addition.

Does a great job

Works perfectly and saves a lot of time when copying several clips from one place to another. Try it, you’ll like it.

The clipboard manager I’ve been waiting for

Simple to use, but all the pro features a power user could want. Bravo!

Indispensible

My title says it all. I don’t think I’ve tapped into all this program can do, but I’m to the point that if I’m on a machine that doesn’t have it installed I’m incredibly frustrated. Solid, solid program. Cannot recommend it hightly enough.
